A Study About Kuang Sun's Ancient Prose Theory And Criticism

Prose criticism is an important form of Chinese literary criticism, but at present academia for literature of the research is still in the start-up stage. Both the literature on the history and literature on the author's research, are not perfect. At the mention of the ancient literature, everyone is only familiar with Chenweng Liu, Zhi Li, Shengtan Chin.But in the Prose criticism history so many critic scattered throughout the history, Ming dynasty Kuang Sun is one of them. When Kuang Sun's books once published, his works has a broad influence. Kuang Sun unique way about criticism and his deep and meticulous criticism, promote the development of literature. This paper will from five aspects to study Kuang Sun ancient prose theory and criticism.The first chapter mainly introduces the Kuang Sun life and friends, in order to have have a clear understanding about Kuang Sun.The second chapter studies the background of the Kuang Sun's ancient prose theory and criticism. Mainly includes two aspects, first of all, will be simply introduce the late Ming literary, in order to have a better understanding about Kuang Sun's ancient prose theory. Moreover, because the Kuang Sun has Xuan Xue and Zhenji Zhao in reverence ,so the second aspect will analysis Kuang Sun under the influence of the two men held by academic thoughts.The third chapter introduces Kuang Sun's theory of ancient prose. Kuang Sun ancient prose theory mainly includes the style characteristics of powerful, unrestrained,quality and steep, and stylistic feature of exquisite, plump, contracted and abstruse.Under the influence of the theory of ancient prose, Kuang Sun has his own considerations about some of the problems in literature history. Because ?Historical Records?and Weizhen Wang's style of writing is powerful and unrestrained, the Kuang Sun appreciate them very much. At the same time, due to the preference for powerful writing style,Kuang Sun doesn't appreciate Zhe Su. In addition, under the influence of the powerful and unrestrained aesthetic, Kuang Sun appreciate essay of Zhou dynasty, criticize essay that close today. Moreover, Yu Han and Zongyuan Liu carry forward the style of essay of Zhou dynasty, therefore, Kuang Sun think they standing shoulder to shoulder.The fourth chapter discussed Kuang Sun's basic features of literature. Under the influence of the theory of ancient prose, he holds two criterions about prose criticism,including powerful momentum and steep language. Kuang Sun's prose criticism show different characteristics. One, Kuang Sun use the method of criticise the eight-part essay to criticize the ancient prose; Second, different from the contracted criticism style ,Kuang Sun criticism style is a thorough criticism style.The fifth chapter analysis Kuang Sun's status and influence. In the history of criticism, Kuang Sun learns the southern Song dynasty Chenweng Liu criticism style.And from the way of criticism, Kuang Sun learns the southern Song dynasty Fangde Xie,they both belong to the detailed criticism style. Since Kuang Sun's important position in the history of Prose criticism, harsly criticism of Qing dynasty about Kuang Sun is not fair.
