The discipline of art and design is an applied discipline which have both practicability and operability that is adapted to modern society.Art and design colleges which are the main exporters of design talents bear the responsibility of cultivating qualified design talents for the society.The designs of the students which are completed in colleges are the physical embodiment of their design ideas and how to make these designs find their way into products that finally get into the consumer market through the construction of the intermediate links is the main part of this article.The colleges are not only the place for students to learn professional skills,but also a transitional phase before they enter the society.It is also necessary for the colleges to create environment and conditions to make the designs into products.Enterprises and society in which the students work and design should give them more tolerance and pay more attention to the transition of their designs.The main purpose of design is to serve the life.The designs will lose their value and cannot adapt to the requirement of modern society if they are "existing only on paper".The students and colleges can be closed connected with enterprises and society by the discussion on the operation mechanism of the transition of the designs and it is helpful to make the transition come true,improve students'ability of practice and specialized talents oriented society.According to the logical sequence,?the discussion on the operation mechanism of the transition of designs of students in university in China?can be divided into the following several parts:The first part is the introduction of this article;the second part is to discuss the necessity of the transition of students from the nature of the discipline,the era of social development and validation of the student ability three aspects;the third part is mainly about the implementation and guarantee of the transition of the designs and it is also include the improvement of the teaching system,the student main body consciousness and social cognitive efforts;in the fourth part the author state the operation mechanism of the transition of the designs based on field research and collection of real cases in order to construct practical platform for the transition;the content of the fifth part is conclusion.In this part,the author has combed the structure of the article and has summarized the beneficial enlightenment and thinking from the discussion of the transition.
