The Ethical Questions Research Of Human Drug Enhancement

The aspiration mankind to utilize technical means for directly enhancing the ability of ourselves has been slowly becoming reality,as a branch of mankind enhancement,drug enhancement has been extensively paid attention to.Mankind tries to utilize drug to enhance the cognition,emotion,physique and gene,so as to become more healthy and happier than the current time,however,the ethical problems brought about by are not amply emphasized.With its convenient mode that is simple and feasible,drug enhancement is favored by people,but it is in dispute because of its specialty in technique itself.Starting from the basic features of drug enhancement,i.e.,“purpose being higher than treatment” and“needing to take drug into body”,this paper performs concrete delimiting to the concept of drug enhancement.Furthermore,drug enhancement is divided into four categories,including “drug enhancement for cognition”,“drug enhancement for emotion”,“drug enhancement for physique” and “drug enhancement for gene”,so that people further understand the powerful function of drug enhancement.The research objective of drug enhancement is people,through change to the body level of human body,it is to let the function of people reach above normal level,as a result,there is extensive ethical dispute on the problems about “initiative and dignity”,“health and safety”,“fairness and equality” and “addiction and initiative”,and the reasons causing those problems are the alienation of scientific and technological strength,the torsion of human demand and the risk uncertainty in science and technology itself.Therefore,it is considered in this paper that for the ethical problem incurred by drug enhancement,the basic principle of “doing good deed”,“respecting initiative”,“no harm”,“fairness” and“responsible ethics” can be observed,so as to realize “guarding dignity of life by technique and rationality”,“establishing relevant laws and regulations for strengthening the mechanism of supervision”,“constructing fair and equal environment for drugallocation” and “avoiding drug dependence and strengthening ethical examination”.The main structure of this paper is divided into four parts,including the first part to introduce the writing aim and meaning of this paper,the present situation of research in China and abroad as well as the writing method and creative portion of this paper,the second part to be the theoretical basis and theoretical prerequisite for the explication in this paper,where basic concept delimiting and category classification are made for drug enhancement,and the development situation and application prospect of drug enhancement are explained,the third part to mainly analyze the ethical problem incurred by drug enhancement and its reason,and the fourth part to mainly elaborate the life ethics principle to be followed by drug enhancement and the solution to the ethical problem caused by it.
