Research On The Cultural Linguistics Of The Chinese "Food" Words Group

The paper takes the compound words whose morpheme is “food” and set phrases which include “food” morpheme as the main objects of the research.Based on the huge collection of linguistic data,this article makes a comprehensive research on the semantic meanings,syntactic functions and the cultural connotation.The whole article can be divided into three main chapters.First of all,the introduction part mainly describes the reasons for choosing this topic,the study value,the research status and trends,the research goal and the thought to practice the research study.The first chapter focuses on discussing the compound words of the Chinese ”food” words group which takes the meaning “food” as word root.Firstly,the chapter make a research on and further detailed explanation of the ways of word formation of the compound words of the Chinese ”food” words group.Then this chapter studies the motivation of creating words of the compound words of the Chinese ”food” words group from the aspect of semantic.The second chapter takes the set phrases which include “food” morpheme as the main objects of the research,analyzing idioms,proverbs and Chinese folk wisecracks from the aspects of structure and semantic.The third chapter makes a comprehensive study culturally on the cultural connotation and social cultural phenomenon of the Chinese ”food” words group from the perspective of culture.Then,this chapter summarize the cultural psychology briefly.The conclusion part concentrates on summarizing the achievements of this research and the shortcomings existing in it,and then expressing the prospect of the further study.
