The compilation of the female fairy tale “TaipingGuangji” not only contains the literary aesthetic consciousness and religious belief of the editor but also reflects the the background of the official worship of Taoism in the early Song dynasty.The research object of this study is the “Taiping” female fairy tales.Through a systematically analysis of female fairy tale “TaipingGuangji”,combined with the “Taipingguangji” editor of the background of the times,this study conducts a comprehensive and meticulous discussion of it.This paper includes five chapters.The first chapter introduces the form and nature of “Taipingguangji”,and sums up the characteristics of timing and the perspective of male that this book reflects.As for the quotes and records in “Taipingguangji” are numerous and complex,the second chapter makes an elegant discussion on the quotes and records of it.The quotes and records in the female fairy tale “TaipingGuangji” reflect the editor's aesthetic and religious belief.And the editor mainly focus on citing the mature female fair narrative tales.The third chapter mainly talks about the fairy figures and novel types in “Taipingguangji”.According to the different ways that female fairs become immortality,this study divides the female fairy figures of “Taipingguangji” into three categories: goddess,female fairy and mortal women.And the female fairy tales are also divided into three categories: salvation class,off any immortal class and fairy love class.The fourth chapter summarizes the cultural connotations of the unique features of Taoism in “TaipingGuangji”,such as the female fairy belief,immortal pursuit and yearning for freedom.The fifth chapter explains the irreplaceable value of the female fairy novel in the history of literature from perspectives of the collection of the “TaipingGuangji” and the influence on the later literature.
