Flicking the dust of history,the font in the ancient books also can live in contemporary.Through the strict norms of the redesign,there will be more historical fronts appearing in the image of "contemporary design",and are used in contemporary.Through the way of redesign,we can give the font culture more vitality,and let these traditional cultural heritage inherit to the next generations through more advanced digital technology and updated methods of the design.This paper takes the ancient Mongolian book of Beijing woodcut version in Qing Dynasty as the research object,in which selects one as the main reference font,and the other as the supplement reference font.Combined with the theory of the font redesigned,this paper carries out the research on the development of the redesign Mongolian font of Beijing woodcut version in the Qing Dynasty.The main research work of this paper is as follows:(1)After researching and analyzing the present situation of the development of the Chinese and foreign fonts redesign and summarizes the methods of the Chinese character,the western language and the Mongolian characters and the principles of font redesign.(2)It researches on the related theory of Mongolian words and the redesign Mongolian font of Beijing woodcut version in the Qing Dynasty.According to the characteristics of it,this paper put forward the redesigned method of the redesign Mongolian font of Beijing woodcut version in the Qing Dynasty.(3)According to the principles of the font redesign and the method put forward above,this paper redesigned the Mongolian fonts with the characteristics of Mongolian font of Beijing woodcut version in the Qing Dynasty,and developed the font conforming to the national standard.Therefore,it becomes the digital font used for input and output the computer.
