In the course of the development of Mongolian politics,culture and history,there appeared successively Uighur Mongolian,Basiba,Aligali(the proper noun symbols for Sanskrit and Tibetan),Soyongbu,Wajindra,Todd Mongolian and Cyrillic Mongolian.However,as the main body of Mongolian writing,Uighur Mongolian has been used for the longest time,the widest scope and has the greatest impact.Its development has continued to this day,and it is the main object of Mongolian font design.This paper studies the historical overview of Kangxi Mongolian Kanjur and it's fonts,puts forward the method of screening the standard fonts of Kangxi Mongolian Kanjur and the use of the concept of common parts.On this basis,a set of text fonts and a set of catalogue fonts are re-engraved.And these two sets of re-engraved fonts are developed into digital fonts which meet the National Standard and can be used on the computer platform.Not only can provide methods and experience for the future development of ancient re-engraved fonts,but also provide new ideas and convenient conditions for the study of the Uighur Mongolia art font in Qing Dynasty.The main research works of this paper are as follows:(1)A further summary of the historical overview of Kangxi Mongolian Kanjur,including its historical background,production process and research status.(2)Through interviews with experts and scholars,the principle of screening standard fonts is summarized,and the method of screening standard fonts for Kangxi Mongolian Kanjur is studied and put forward.Combining with the split and naming method of Uighur Mongolian characters,a kind of standard font which is suitable for re-engraving development and can also represent Kangxi Mongolian Kanjur is screened out.(3)According to the selected standard fonts,combined with the method of re-engraving using common parts,a set of text fonts and a set of catalogue fonts representing Kangxi version of Mongolian Kanjur have been re-engraved,and these two sets of re-engrave fonts have been developed into digital fonts that conform to the National Standard and can be used on the computer platform.
