Analysis Of Female Images In Modern Literature Pretty Ugly Marriage Customs

In modern Chinese literature,the loud slogan of marriage autonomy and women's liberation put forward aiong with the "person" liberation as the important theme of "May 4th" new culture movement,echoed in different areas of the modern literature.Affected by the phenomenon of modern writers,pay attention to women inevitably,especially women oppressed and damaged.“All of this in country,the foundation of country at home”,and family built on the basis of marriage,so marriage is an important part of social life.For women,their social living space is very narrow,generally limited to their family marriage life,and through the description of their real status of living to show women in the feudal society dominated by patriarchy facing the loss of freedom and personality rights.This paper will focus on pretty ugly phenomenon in marriage,mainly about “hold the memorial tablet of marriage” and “wife lenging” marriage customs,and analysis of female images by the strong tragedy in marriage customs.Women in the "hold the memorial tablet of marriage",who forced to leave their boudoir to act as the role of a non-existing wife,and women in the “wife lenging” are faced with the division of wife and motherhood.They are only a flow tool,and their ownership and usufruct in other hands,so they can't to ensure the integrity and freedom of self body,also can't maintain the independence and autonomy of spirit.By the double oppression,they present a typical female images under the pretty ugly marriage customs.In this paper,based on the “hold the memorial tablet of marriage” and “wife lenging” two types of work,at the same time involves other genre of literary creation,then summarize and draw lessons from the previous research results.First,we research on these two kinds of pretty ugly marriage customs of history,and comb the research status of female images in the pretty ugly marriage customs,then indicate that the purpose and significance of this article expatiates.Second,the body of the thesis is divided into four chapters.The first chapter sort the “hold the memorial tablet of marriage” and “wife lenging” writing of marriage customs,detailed introduce some literary creation about these two kinds of pretty ugly marriage customs in the modern literary fiction,drama,and other areas of the genre.It includes the first ten years,the demand of the thought revolution,in the second decade the push of social revolution and the third decade the influence of the national revolution;The second chapter,based on the novel text,it will be classify female images in this two kinds of pretty ugly marriage customs,mainly about materialized female image and typed of female image.Among the materialized women are divided into these three kinds of female images,silent patience,alienation of perverts,lonely rebel.Also the typed of women are divided into the feudal parents,matchmaker,spectator,and detailed analysis of their respective characteristics.The third chapter,from the impregnation of traditional culture,the impact of the capitalist culture and the regional culture three aspects to excavate the cultural implication of female image.The marriage culture,family culture,sexual culture is an important part of traditional culture,and closely related with depiction of female images in pretty ugly marriage customs.While the Humanism ideological trend and the concept of commodity economy of capitalist,also deeply affect it.In addition,the regional culture is closely related with writers' creative activities and key factors influencing the female images.Finally,we have a comprehensive review and summarize about the two types of female images under the pretty ugly marriage customs,and bring about people's thinking of modernity on the problem of women's liberation by their destiny tragedy.
