Project Report On The Consecutive Interpreting For Malaysian Investment Promotion Seminar 2016

Malaysia is an important trading partner of China.At present,the two countries have been working hard on implementing the project of "Two Countries,Twin Parks",promoting bilateral capacity cooperation and investment.Such situation calls for more communication and cooperation between the two countries.Malaysian Investment Promotion Seminar has always been an important component of China-ASEAN Expo,and also a vital channel for mutual understanding and bilateral trade cooperation between the two countries.Malaysian Investment Promotion Seminar 2016,sponsored by Malaysia Investment and Development Authority,aimed at introducing relevant investment initiatives and policies of Malaysia to increase such mutual understanding and develop economic cooperation.The author felt grateful to have this opportunity to participate in the consecutive interpreting work for this seminar,and fulfilled the task successfully.The seminar was a productive one and relevant institutions and business representatives from both China and Malaysia attended the seminar.The thesis adopted the form of project report,covering five parts,namely task description,pre-interpreting preparation,case study,post-interpreting assessment and conclusion.The author analyzed both the transcript and the recording with the Theory of Triangular Model of Interpreting to discuss the confronted difficulties and relevant solutions,hoping to provide some useful suggestions and enlightenment for fellow interpreting practitioners.
