Chinese Filmology Research On The Low-class Characters In The 21th Century

With the political,economic and cultural development of modern China,the definition of understratum has been brought up and examined by scholars.The understratum movies were derived from the sixth generation of Chinese directors and their film focusing on less-advantaged groups.In the 21 century,under the social context of industrialization and consumerism,the understratum movies have to compromise with the market and capital.Besides,understratum films also are taking the responsibility of writing the mainstream values and expressing the different requests of different groups..The first chapter concluded the reason,motivation,method of this research.In the same time;it explained the important definition about understratum studies.The second chapter discussed the exploration of understratum films and majorly focused on the dilemma between mainstream expression and popular cooperation.The third chapter analyzed the tragedies and comedies concerning about the understratum films in a context of consumerism.The fourth chapter concluded the construction of understratum films and imagination about nationalism.The fifth chapter talked about the problems and obstacles of the understratum films and the final chapter expressed the orientation of the research and expected the understratum films with a brighter future.
