Proposed by Ministry of Education in China, full-time graduate students have been admitted to study for professional master degree since 2009. In order to cultivate high level talents who are good in both academic theory and professional ability, Double-tutor System arises at the historic moment.Research on Double-tutor System started late in these programs in academia, but in recent years,some scholars have summed up the advantages and disadvantages of the Double-tutor System, and they have tried to explore effective strategies for the implementation of it. However, research of Double-tutor System with case studies in universities is of great deficiency. Taking the implementation of Double-tutor System in Central China Normal University as the research object, this study aims to find out the important effects of Double-tutor System on MEd. masters' teaching ability and teacher belief.Questionnaires and interviews are employed in this research. In this study, a total of 66 full-time MEd. masters participated in the questionnaires while 6 full-time MEd.masters and 8 tutors were involved in the interview.According to the survey, the implementation of Double-tutor System in the cultivation of MEd. students in Central China Normal University has achieved its goals in general. On the basis of the analysis, we can notice that the influence of courses tutors and teaching practicum period are the most influential factors for the improvement of MEd. students' teaching ability and teacher belief. In the meanwhile,students are general satisfied with the guidance of double tutors and the cooperation of double tutors.According to the results, less communication and cooperation between double tutors, the lack of systematic and scientific management system are the major problems in the implementation of this training mode. To solve these problems, the study has presented several solutions such as: strengthening the communication and cooperation between intramural tutors and extramural tutors; establishing a systematic and scientific management system of Double-tutor System; improving double tutors' qualities and professional ability; building up a motivation mechanism for double tutors and strengthening their awareness of responsibility; improving MEd. students' understanding of Double-tutor System by a series of training courses.
