The Game Between NLD And Junta And The Political Democratization In Myanmar (1988-2016)

The game of the NLD and the junta is the driving force of political democratization in Myanmar.In 1988,the situation in Myanmar was turbulent,and the legitimacy of junta was questioned,in the end,NLD became the best "spokesperson" of political democracy,leading to the reopening of Myanmar's political democratization.Htin Kyaw,a member of NLD became the President of Myanmar in the election of 2016,marking the political democratization of Myanmar has achieved initial results after 20 years of the game.This essay is Based on the NLD and junta game in 1988-2016,by using the theory of political game to analyze the democratization process between NLD and junta,to reveal the influence by the game between the two sides on the history of myanmar's political democratization.The first chapter analyzes the game of the NLD and the junta before 1990,and discusses the strategy used by both sides.Since 1990,the focus of the two sides has shifted to the question of "election legitimacy in 1990",which the NLD called for "election legitimacy in 1990",but it was not acknowledged by the junta.But there are still some signs of renewed political democratization in Myanmar,so the political democratization of Myanmar has restarted.The second chapter analyzes the game between the NLD and the military government from 2003 to 2015,during this time the political democratization of Myanmar continues to develop.The NLD did not have more rights under the constitution,but the military government was on the contrary.After the constitution was adopted in 2008,the two sides competed in the "constitution" between the "2010election" and "Constitutional amendment",but in the vision of asymmetric game,NLD ended in failure.However,the political democratization of Myanmar has increased significantly,and the democratization of politics has developed greatly.The third chapter discusses the mutual compromise between the NLD and the junta in the "2015 elections",and pointed out the reason of NLD?victory.The compromise between the NLD and the junta was a key factor in the political transition in Myanmar,and in this process the democratization of Myanmar finally completed.The fourth chapter analyzes the lessons and the enlightenment we got from the game between the NLD and the junta in Myanmar.In the end,we made a brief analysis of the future political direction of Myanmar,and the problems of NLD administration.
