Drama translation is an important part of literary translation.It has the common characteristics of all literary translation as well as its own unique complexity.This is mainly because the nature of the drama itself is not only for the reader to read,but also for another important goal which is to perform on the stage.The audience who watches the show is the ultimate recipient of the drama,so their accepting the literary significance and artistic value of the drama is the most important and unique purpose of the drama.Therefore,this report aims to summarize and study the whole translation process of No Man's Land to find out the proper translation strategy and translation skills for its Chinese,version.From the features of drama language,the preparation of translation theory to the formation of the final translation,it introduces and analyzes the difficulties encountered in the process of translation.With the dramatic features and the performance characteristics,it uses case study method and comparative method to study the translation problems of No Man's Land under the guidance of Reception Aesthetics.The following conclusion is drawn in this report:the most important purpose of translating drama is to make the foreign drama perform in the target language environment,therefore,it is necessary to use appropriate translation methods under the guidance of Reception Aesthetics to combine the language habits-and the social culture in the translation of the drama,making the actors and audience accept the beauty of the foreign drama.The first section introduces the whole translation project,including the background of the translation project,the writer of the drama and the content and characteristics of No Man's Land.The second section mainly introduces the whole translation process.The third section introduces the theory of Reception Aesthetics and its application in drama translation.The fourth section is a case study.It discusses the difficulties and characteristics of the translation of No Man's Land and analyzes the translation strategies and methods in three aspects.
