The Semantic Origin Of The Learn Prepositions In Chinese

In the history of Chinese, the learn prepositions used to represent the action of "learn".It is a category of object prepositions,such as "Yu(?)?Cong(?)?Jiu(?)?Wen(?)?Xiang(?)?Gen(?)".In these prepositions,some are directly originated fromthe verb, some are the result of the expansion of function on prepositions. In this thesis, in order to generalized their semantic evolving, we select the perspective of historical linguistics, then we do detailed analysis on them. It concludes five chapters:The first chapter is introduction. In this part, we introduced the definition of the study object and summarized the research situation about its classification and source. We summarized two semantic evolution models :One part is directly originated fromthe verb.In this part,we have two aspects in terms of semantic origin:one originated from the verb"follow",such as "Cong(?)"?"Gen(?)",The other from the verb"walk",such as "Jiu(?)";Another is the result of the expansion of function on prepositions.In this part: one originated from two prepositions which introduce talker and quest, such as "Yu(?)".The other originated from the prepositions which introduce seeker, such as "Xiang(?)"?"Wen(?)"?"Hen(?)".In the second chapter, we analyzed the learn prepositions which are directly originated fromthe verb,such as "Con (?)"?"Gen(?)"?"Jiu(?)".It will be divided into two sections that depend on the semantic origin:the first section conclude the learn prepositions which originated from the verb "follow",such as "Cong(?)"?"Gen(?)".The other originated from the verb "walk",such as "Jiu(?)".Then, in the third chapter, we analyzed and described the evolution path of the learn prepositions which are the result of the expansion of function on prepositions.It will be divided into two section:the first section conclude the learn prepositions which originated from two prepositions,such as "Yu(?)" The second section conclude the learn prepositions which originated from the quest prepositions,such as"Xiang(?)"?"Wen(?)"?"Hen(?)". It mainly conform this way:"verd�talk�quest�learn".The fourth part is basis on the second and the third part. We attempt to distinguishing the secondary category of learn prepositions. We summarized two parts: one is the semantic relations of the learn prepositions and verb,and another is the learn prepositions and other prepositions. The fifth part is the full text of the summary.
