The Influence Of 4 Themes Music To The Implicit Aggression And The Explicit Aggression

In order to explore the influence of different themes of music to the implicit aggression?Explicit aggression and the mediating role of emotions,the research takes a total of 255 students from 6 Universitiesin Jiansu?Fujian Province and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and ,Quanzhou Institute of Technology and SanmingCollege as experimental objects.The experimental data was analyzes with SPSS 17.0.There are two main sections:Experiment 1: In order to explore the validity of four types of music divided from the perspective of thematic characters of music, about their influences on emotions, experiment 1 takes thematic characters of music as the independent variable, the positive and the negative emotional index as the dependent variable, and it is conducted by using the experimental design of the single factor levels among groups. During the experiment, Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS) is used to test subjects after disposing different types of music. The result indicates that there are significant differences among groups in positive and negative emotions of the four kinds thematic characters of music. The scores of positive emotions of militant and active music are significantly higher than those of the matched group, while the scores of the sad music were significantly lower than the matched group.Experiment 2: In order to explore the impacts of four types of thematic characters of music on implicit and explicit aggression and the mediating role of emotion, the experiment takes the thematic characters of music as the independent variable, implicit and explicit aggression and emotional scores as the dependent variable. In this experiment, it employs the questionnaire about Buss-Perry aggression, Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS)and implicit associative testing used to test subjects after disposing different types of music.The result indicates that there are remarkable effects among groups on implicit and explicit aggression of the four kinds of thematic characters of music, in which, the level of implicit aggressive of the musical groups whose thematic characters are active, is significantly higher than that of the matched group. However, in the level of explicit aggression, the scores of sad and militant music in the hostile dimension are significantly lower than the matched group.Then we examine the mediating effects of emotions in implicit and explicit aggression and find that the mediating effects are not remarkable.We can draw the following conclusions from the experiment: 1.Different themes of the music of the exert different influences to the emotion.Lively and fighting music can lead to positive emotions.Among them,the lively kind has the best effect,and the sad songs may suppress the negative feelings best. 2.Music of different themes have different effects to explicit attack.Fighting and sad songs can effectively suppress the hostility of the subjects.3.Music of different themes have different effects to implicit aggression.Lively music increased the implicit aggression on subjects. 4. The music emotion can not play a role of agent in the implicit aggressive influence of music. However the application of experimental results needs to be cautious.
