The Research Of The Chunqiu-xue In The Yuan Dynasty

Chunqiu has always been regarded as the Confucian classics of the world,for thousands of years for the scholars attention.The study of Chunqiu is enduring,never interrupted,even Mongolian rule only one hundred Years of the Yuan Dynasty.This article intends to conduct a comprehensive and systematic statistics of the Yuan Dynasty's Chunqiu-Xue,and gives them brief description.On the basis of this,the author explores the origin and historical background of its rising,and analyzes the geographical distribution of the scholars and the reasons of the academic division.Then,the author sums up its overall characteristics as well as the status and influence of academic history.Before the Yuan Dynasty,The Chunqiu-Xue has experienced the development of Sinology and Song Xue.The paradigm of scholars' study about Chunqiu has also been developed from the Han Dynasty to the period of the Song Dynasty.After the reunification of the Yuan Dynasty,the rulers carried out the cultural policy of the Confucianism and actively recruited Confucians.ZhaoFu,a Confucian in the south China,brought Cheng Zhu knowledge to the North.Cheng Zhu knowledge had been widely disseminated with the restoration of the Yuan Dynasty imperial examination and the establishment of the school.The study of Chunqiu had been greatly developed in this background.In particular,HuAnguo's Chunqiu Biography had been flourishing in the Yuan Dynasty.Not only as a standard book for the imperial examination,there had been a lot of related research works.ZhuXi,the master of the Southern Song Dynasty science,didn't have a work about the Chunqiu-Xue,but his view about Chunqiu still been able to continue in the Yuan Dynasty.On the one hand,it benefited from Zhao Fu spreading Cheng Zhu knowledge in the North.On the other hand,his disciples Huang Gan and continued or private followers inherited and developed ZhuXi's view about Chunqiu.After the Song Dynasty went south,the academic activities of the Song Confucians were concentrated in the provinces of Jiangsu and Zhejiang Provinces.The Confucianism of the Yuan Dynasty were concentrated in Zhejiang and Jiangxi provinces.In general,the Chunqiu-Xue in the Yuan Dynasty was inherited and developed the Chunqiu-Xue in the Song Dynasty.Although the overall achievement is not high,the Chunqiu-Xue in the Yuan Dynasty is an important part in the development and inheritance process of Chunqiu and it has played an important role in the formation of the Chunqiu-Xue in the Qing Dynasty.
