Zuo Zhuan is the core classic of Confucianism,which has attracted the attention of scholars of all dynasties.Zuozhuan has risen and developed gradually since the Han Dynasty.After experiencing the three development peaks of Wei,Jin,Tang and Song Dynasties.As a special period in the history of Yuan Dynasty,the study of Chunqiu and Zuozhuan also presented a unique development situation.After the unification of the Yuan Dynasty,the rulers carried out the cultural policy of governing the country by Confucianism and actively recruited Confucian scholars.Zhao Fu,a Confucian scholar from the south,brought Cheng and Zhu's learning to the north.With the restoration of imperial examination in Yuan Dynasty and the establishment of school academies,Cheng and Zhu's learning was widely disseminated.Under this background,the study of Chunqiu and ZuoZhuan was greatly developed.After the Southern Song Dynasty,the academic activities of Confucianism in Song Dynasty were mostly concentrated in Jiangsu and Zhejiang and provinces,while the general master of Confucianism in Yuan Dynasty came from Confucianism in Song Dynasty,so the regional distribution of scholars and schools in Chunqiu and Zuozhuan in Yuan Dynasty was mostly concentrated in Zhejiang,Jiangxi and Anhui.As far as its ideological tendency is concerned,Huan Guo's Chun Qiu biography in the Song Dynasty was highly praised by scholars in the Yuan Dynasty,which affected the development of the study of Chunqiuand ZuoZhuan in the Yuan Dynasty.As a master of Neo-Confucianism in the Southern Song Dynasty,Zhu Xi's viewpoint not only influenced the development of Chun Qiu in the Yuan Dynasty,but also promoted the progress of Zuo Zhuan.In addition,the study of Zuozhuan in Yuan Dynasty also showed a tendency of literary interpretation,which laid a foundation for the study of Chunqiuand ZuoZhuan in later generations.Zuo Zhuan,as a classic narrative literature,has a profound influence on the literature of Yuan Dynasty,especially on the narrative literature genre,which is mainly embodied in drama,fiction and narrative prose.The opera of Yuan Dynasty inherited and developed Zuozhuan.In terms of narrative concepts,the opera writers inherited the narrative concepts of Zuo Zhuan,emphasizing the traditional moral consciousness in the works.In terms of content,Yuan operas absorbed some historical figures and events in Zuozhuan and carried out new literary processing on this basis.In terms of narrative art,Yuan Dynasty operas not only inherited the Dream Description Method and diversified narrative techniques of Zuozhuan,but also embodied the new features of narrative perspective with limited perceptual perspective and stylized plot structure.In the aspect of the art of describing people,the Yuan Dynasty opera follows the language description and detail description of Zuo Zhuan,and its characters show the characteristics of typification.At the same time,compared with Zuo Zhuan,the characterization of operas in Yuan Dynasty pays more attention to the liberation of characters' emotions.Novels of the Yuan Dynasty include classical Chinese novels and script for story-telling.Classical Chinese fiction inherits Zuo Zhuan's realistic description method,followed Zuo Zhuan's narrative concept,fully perceptive narrative perspective and diversified writing methods.The script for story-telling mainly imitates Zuo Zhuan's narrative style and "Spring and Autumn Pen Style",forming a narrative style with prose as the main style,interluded verses and poems.The narrative prose of the Yuan Dynasty directly followed the consciousness of preserving history of Zuo Zhuan,emphasized the idea of laying equal stress on literature and Taoism,inherited and developed the argumentative techniques of Zuo Zhuan,and formed a new narrative form of argumentation while narrating.Generally speaking,the study of Chunqiu and Zuozhuan in Yuan Dynasty is the inheritance and development of the study of Chunqiu and Zuozhuan in Song Dynasty.Although the overall achievement is not high,the study of Chunqiu and Zuozhuan in Yuan Dynasty is an extremely important link in the development and inheritance of the study of Chunqiu and Zuozhuan.It played a transitional role between the study of Chunqiu and Zuozhuan in Song Dynasty and the study of Chunqiu and Zuozhuan in Ming Dynasty.At the same time,it has indirect influence on the formation and existence of the study of Chunqiu and Zuozhuan in the Qing Dynasty and the study of Chunqiu and Zuozhuan in the Republic of China.
