The source text of this translation report comes from Insights into Chinese Culture.In the translation process,the author has translated the English version of Chinese Culture back into Chinese.This book presents a lot of information about Chinese Culture from four aspects: Wisdom and Beliefs,Creativity and Exchange,Art and Aesthetics,as well as Folk Customs,introducing Confucianism,poetry,Buddhism,artifacts,operas,customs,food and so on.This report classifies and analyzes a large number of names,poems,quotations and technical terms about Buddhism and porcelain,taking proper nouns,technical terms,poems and quotations as examples to discuss the strategies of back translation and explore the importance of accumulating cultural knowledge of culture.This report consists of four chapters.The first chapter introduces the translation project,and its purpose and significance,as well as the literature review.The second chapter describes the translation process,including preparations and text proofreading.The third chapter is the main body of this report.The author classifies the difficulties into proper nouns,technical terms,poems and quotations,and provides examples to illustrate the strategies for back translation.The fourth chapter is the summary of the translation practice,benefits and limitations include.
