| In the Tang Dynasty status of women took a lofty place in the long history of ancient China,women' makeup were also a feast for the eyes.In fact,Makeup culture is long-standing.In Dunhuang frescoes,the type of women' makeup between Tang-Five Dynasties and Central Plains not only in line with many aspects,but also had a unique style showing a unique spirit of contemporary women in Dunhuang.In this paper,a total of four components:different makeup,cosmetics,the sources of cosmetics and the characteristics of each kind of makeup in Dunhuang.The first chapter discusses cosmetics,which had white and pink foundation.In frescoes women had pink and beautiful makeup,who used rouge as their main cosmetics.At the same time,we could conclude that Western Regions of women had similar pink makeup with frescoes from the extant data.The second chapter discusses all the minor details in painting eyebrows.It starts with materials and style about eyebrow.I have studied mainly popular makeup about eyebrow in Dunhuang area.The third chapter discusses facial makeup,which includes three parts:the forehead of makeup,facial makeup,special makeup.This part mainly discusses the origin and spread of yellow makeup.In the study of forehead makeup,it is rare range that floral makeup,yellow makeup and individual jewelry.These all are classified as the forehead of makeup.Once yellow makeup was popular in Dunhuang.The fourth chapter discusses lipstick,which is related to exotic atmosphere in the Mogao Grottoes.Many people themselves were minority nationality,and they were meal-ticket.So there were more likely to have the lips of different race or nation.Judging by lip,it's also more profound that women' lips were affected by surrounding ethnic makeup in the Dunhuang frescoes.Last but not least,there is a close correspondence between the color of makeup and the supply of pigment in Dunhuang,which concludes that the cosmetics of women are also related to the supply of pigments. |
