The Scenery On The Track:The Train And The Literary Writing Of The Republic Of China

The train,as a product of western industrial civilization,with half a century of twists and turns,finally appeared in China.It not only brings political and economic changes in all aspects of society,but also gradually penetrates people's spiritual level,witnessing the transfer of ancient agriculture civilization into a modern social civilization.The transition from the old times to the new times happened between the nineteenth and early twentieth century,at which the old feudal regime collapsed and the new regime wobbled.Western material progress,as a powerful catalyst,was particularly important at the same time.For example,train that can bring convenience to people and coerce the danger is either an advanced means of transport or a symbol of Western civilization hegemony.All the changes brought about by the society are incorporated into the part of literature by the sensitive intellectuals,and the train has evolved from a simple traffic signifier into various kinds of meanings.This paper is divided into three chapters.The first chapter takes the specific train image as the main line,analyzes the relationship between the train and the writing psychology,and explores how the material entity enters the literary imagination.The second chapter and the third chapter focus respectively from the content and form of the "train literature",finding that in terms of the content,it reflects the vast social landscape of the Republic of China,expanding the expression of literature,and in terms of the form,it also affects the new text of the narrative space.This paper attempts to explore the origins of "train literature",the sociality of train text space,and the association with the evolution of new literature.First,the literature at the beginning of the twentieth century was developed under the changes of various literary revolutions.The vernacular literature rose and the new material progress alternated.Old literary form It seems difficult that old literary forms wrote the changing society.Train,as a new thing and a new civilization,appeared in literary works and also witnessed the changes the literary works in forms and contents to some extent.How does the train enter the imagination space of literature? Train has a secondary speed in all vehicles.There's a space that you can look at all the life throughout the window or in a compartment as well as a separate inner imagination.Time and space temporarily vanish at the stop stations,like a remote control into the dream state when the same madness flashed spatiotemporal hazy and train complex state of mind,and Freudian literary creation,to some extent having similarities.Unique substance imagery such as stations,tracks,cars,sirens and so on inspires the writers ' emotions,which led to "Train Literature" popular.Secondly,Under the circumstances,the train into the literary text has taken off the coat of the vehicle and revealed its various cultural meanings.First,the train,as a public social space,not only breaks the traditional relationship between men and women but also changes the new interpersonal communication and interaction.In a sense,the prisoners,schools,factories and other regulatory agencies that Foucault presents has some inherent homogeneity,and the railway is(showing)a space and power relations Face.Second,the history of the development of the train in China and the process of China's modernization,to some extent,with the cohesion of the train in China's development,counters the process of social modernization.Power politics,economic invasion,cultural transmission,survival situation and other social dimensions of the space significance are highlighted.The train witnesses the trace from agriculture civilization into modern civilization.Finally,all the cultural meaning brought by the train on the one hand expands the expressive intensity of literary content.On the other hand,it also changes the form of textual space.Train speed,distance,viewing angle and so on has a certain influence on the text in the form of rhythm,sentence,cadence,narrative perspective so that the original natural style familiar in a new mode of discourse can be presented,which also potentially promoted the development of new literature.This is the innovation of this article.Searching for "train" theme of the Republic of China to start with,it is the innovation of this paper to explore the origin of "train literature",the social nature of train text space,and the association with the evolution of new literature.
