Chinese and Thai,belong to Sino-Tibetan,are isolated languages that does not depend on inflection to express grammatical meanings,but through word order and function words.Preposition is a kind of function word,but it has no real meaning,which has rich grammatical meaning and complex functions has been a important and difficulty in Teaching Chinese as a second language for a long time.Chinese object prepositions are used in a high frequency,which have differences and similarities in the meaning and usage,such as “Dui,Duiyu,Guanyu,He,Gen,Tong,Gei,Xiang”.Therefore,Thai students will have difficulty and make mistakes in learning and using.This paper focus on analyzing the error types and bias error factors of Chinese object prepositions for Thai students.On this basis,exploring the formation reasons of errors and relations between Chinese and Thai about language internal rules.This paper investigated and researched the object preposition of Chinese and Thai,and summarized the features of Chinese object preposition with the methods of cognitive linguistics and cognitive linguistics.And then puts forward some teaching strategies by analyzing the relationship between these features and errors.Conclusions of this paper are as follows:1.The interlanguage corpus of Thai students shows,“Dui” is mostly used in Chinese object prepositions,“Tong” with low frequency.And the different usage of every object prepositions are also different.2.The meaning and function of Chinese object preposition are very complex,and the different prepositions have same meaning,but they are not exactly the same on usage.The object prepositions of Chinese and Thai are not one-to-on relationship between quantity and usage.For example,“Dui”has Seven corresponding objece preposition in Thai,and every usage correspond to different Thai objece prepositions.3.The Presence and Absence are different between Chinese object preposition and Thai object preposition,so Thai sutents often omit or add the Chinese object preposition when they used.4.Chinese object prepositional phrase can be used as attribute,which precedes the center words to modify,restrict or describe it.And must add the auxiliary verb“De”.However,Thai object prepositional phrase is generally placed after the center words,and doesn't need any auxiliary verb.5.The reasons that may cause the error by Thai students are attribute to the effect of mother tongue and the complex using rules of Chinese object prepositions.
