The Prayer Custom Of The Potala Palace And Its Social And Cultural Significance

In the past,the study of Tibetan pilgrimage did not distinguish between pilgrimage to home and even distant places and the daily revolutions near home.Therefore,this article chooses the Potala Palace circle custom as the object,tries to carry on the comprehensive and systematic presentation to the custom of the Potala Palace,and discusses its social and cultural significance.The article was written in the field survey data from September to November of 2016.This paper divides the circle into daily revolutions and pilgrimage.As the daily rotation of the Potala Palace Circle relative to the pilgrimage circle has three characteristics,one is from the location of the distance from the circle or traffic convenience;the second is the daily circle in the process will be integrated into the daily life of the individual Demand;third is the daily circle will change with the changes in daily life.The social significance of the movement of the Potala Palace is to provide a space for interpersonal communication in which the identity of the believer is strengthened,the social identity is weakened and the interpersonal relationship tends to be equal.At the same time,the agglomeration and the form of organization are loosely free in the process of turning,and there is not too much organizational restraint in the process of turning,showing the characteristics of random and personal.The main factors influencing the way of circulation are age and class.In this paper,the group is divided into five groups according to age and class,namely,elderly people over 75 years old,migrant workers,urban retirees,migrant workers,urban white workers,different groups Showing a different way of circular motion.Through the study of the specific turning mode and behavior characteristics,the article analyzes the special significance of the Potala Palace Circle for each group.
