Study On Regional Characteristic Logo Design

As graphic symbols in visual language with particular meanings,logos serve unique functions to facilitate communication,recognize and remember information and convey a message.The thesis,with the study object of regional characteristic logo designs,finds these logo designs have the following features:adapting local natural and human landscapes as design elements;and combing regional graphic symbols,graphic notations and colors.At the same time,the thesis elaborates on relevant theories about logo and regional culture.With its distinct regional features,every region's logo designcan showcase that region's uniqueness and characteristics.Although lots of books about logo design have been punished,most of them are only a collection of logos.Theoretical studies,especially in regional logo design,are lacked.It is Tibet's unique geographic location and environment that create the distinct regional characteristics which are imprinted on its logo designs.At present,the theoretical studies on regional and cultural logo designs of Tibet are relatively lacking;deep and systematic researches are even in the blank condition.On the one hand,the author sorts out the communication advantages and recognition of regional cultural logo designs within the whole logo design system and further concludes the features,present situation and existing problems of Tibetan logo design.On the other hand,the thesis starts by designing some logos with acombination of regional cultural elements and modern design to adapt Tibetan logo design,as understood by most people,to contemporary social development so as to accomplish the ultimate aim of conveying information and make Tibetan logo design system meet diverse market demands more easily.
