In second language acquisition,the motivation is a very important emotional factors,it can directly determine the enthusiasm of learning,teachers' teaching methods and teaching results.Before the author in writing this article,a lot of reading the previous theory of motivation and literature experts,combined with the national comprehensive national strength promotion in recent years of teaching Chinese as a foreign language world rich in a variety of research achievements,the international cultural exchange school of Xinjiang university students has carried on the investigation and analysis of learning motivation.Different from the traditional methods of student classification,the author divides all foreign students into two major categories: self-education and non-self.Students who pay their tuition in full and live on their own.There are three main types of scholarship students: the Chinese government scholarship student,the Xinjiang government scholarship student and the Confucius institute scholarship student.The students enjoy living allowances ranging from 1,000 yuan to 3,500 yuan a month.Exchange students refers to the Xinjiang university signed an agreement with other schools abroad,the exchange of their students to the other school for six months to a year of study,this kind of students takes the cost of living can usually,don't need to pay the accommodation and tuition.In the past,the author has found that the two kinds of students differ in their learning motivation because of the difference in the cost of study.Self-supported students most of them are good family economic conditions to China to learn Chinese in order to obtain diploma is convenient to look for a job,and even to learn because doing business here for a visa,learning motivation in complicated cases.Rather than fee-paying international students are mostly born degree,part of the students is in order to high scholarship to study,but also love Chinese excellent culture,love Chinese students.Each student's learning motivation is different,so the teaching method and the management work will require the joint efforts of the school.The aim of this paper is to find out the differences between the two types of students and toprovide advice on how to develop appropriate teaching and management methods.In the thesis,the author choose to use the research method of questionnaire combined with interviews questionnaire in order to guarantee scientific American scholars used Gardner and AMTD learning motivation scale as the main tone,and combining with the characteristics of university students in Xinjiang to adjust,adopting SPASS2.0 analysis,the conclusion,and put forward Suggestions in two aspects of teaching and management,want to work for international cultural exchange school of the university of Xinjiang brings revelation.
