The ancient Chinese fables have a long history,which has always been a place in classical literature.However,until the Tang and Song Dynasties,the style of Chinese fable began to be independent and mature.The word "fable" first appeared in "Chuang-tzu fable",means words of sustenance.The fables used in this paper are not the "fable" of Chuang-tzu,but the definition of modern fables.Emphasize the implied meaning at the same time,also stressed monitory,ironic,simplicity,fictitious and rational characteristics."Ai Zi Said" is the first fable monograph in the history of the Chinese fable.This paper is based on the fifth volume of "The Encyclopedia of the SU's".By discussing the contents and artistic features of these 40 fables,The relationship between the moral of stories and the reform of Wang Anshi and the philosophical characteristics of the fable,this paper analysis the political ideas of Su Shi in the fierce factional political struggle in the Song Dynasty,Study the influence of the characteristics of the Song Dynasty on the book.The thesis divides into five parts:The first part: Introduction.Define the concept of the fable,overview of the origin and development of fables,positioning "Ai Zi Said" as the first fable monograph in history of the China fable,and introduces the editions of "Ai Zi Said" and research status,summing up its research significance and theoretical value.The second part,Demonstrate "Ai Zi Said" is indeed the work of Su Shi.This chapter analyse Su Shi 's personal character preferences,for instance,like ghosts stories,jokes.On the other hand,Analysis of the repetition of "Ai Zi Said" and Su Shi's anthology.And summary the research findings of former scholars,which can prove "Ai Zi Said" is indeed the work of Su Shi.The third part: Research content classification and artistic features.According to the difference of implied meaning,"Ai Zi Said" will be divided into five categories:worry about the enemy;satirical about politics;undesirable social phenomenon;reveal human nature;humour.And analyzes its artistic characteristics from the characters and artistic techniques.Such like imagine,nesting,using allusions,homophonic,irony,and so on.The fourth part: The influence of the characteristics of the Song dynasty was discussed from the relationship between the moral of stories and the reform of Wang Anshi and the emotions and reasons of "Ai Zi Said".In order to study the political tendency of Su Shi in the factional political struggle,Su Shi 's Philosophy of Life in the Background of the Song Dynasty.The fifth part: Summary of the thesis.And introduce its impact on the creation of fables.Study on Ai Zi Said has important theoretical value for the study of the history of fables.In conclusion,a writer and his works are a true portrayal of his society in which he lives,study on Su Shi will be able to better understand the Northern Song Dynasty,its Politics,economy,culture and social mainstream consciousness.Ai Zi Said reflects his serious thinking about society and life and profound criticism of of society.Research on Ai Zi Said can contribute to a better understanding of Su Shi and the understanding of the Song Dynasty.Therefore,it is necessary and valuable to study deeply.
