The Western Thousand Buddhas Cave is an important part of Dunhuang Grottoes.This article mainly takes the northern dynasties cave of the cave as the object of study,so as to know in detail the specific characteristics of the development of this period.The preservation of the caves in the northern dynasties is relatively complete.The existing six northern dynasties caves are characterized by its cave forms mural styles and statues,which reflect vividly the history of the grotto art in the Northern Dynasties.In addition,the Western Thousand Buddhas Cave of the cave shapes statues,mural contents and styles and other aspects of the ones of the Mogao Grottoes are basically the same and the surface of the two in the construction of information exchange is very smooth.But in the Western Thousand Buddhas Cave in the artistic style,the cave content also has its unique character.Therefore,in the process of studying the art of The Western Thousand Buddhas Cave,the caves in the same period in Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes are compared with each other and they are trying to reproduce the history of the development of the Buddhist cave art and Buddhism in the northern dynasties.
