Report On Translation Of Biomimetics (Chapter10)

With the development of science and technology and the frequent exchanges with foreign countries,the text of science and technology and its translation become more and more important.There are many differences on sentence structures between English and Chinese that cause difficulties for translators.On the basis of translation of Biomimetics(Chapter 10),this report explores translation skills of passive voice in English-Chinese scientific translation,including translating into active voice,passive voice,non subject sentence and judgment sentence.The report is divided into four parts,including the description of translation project,the description of translation process,the translation of passive voice and case analysis and conclusion.In the first part,the background of the project,features of the project and client's requirements are described.In the second part,pre-translation work,translation process and after-translation proofreading are introduced.In the third part,basic information about passive voice translation and some examples are discussed.Finally,some strategies about passive voice translation and other achievements are summarized.
