The Phonetic Study Of Chinese Loan Words In Thai Language

There are rich Chinese loan words in Thai language,which is divided into three levels including ancient,modern times and modern Chinese loan words with historical analytic hierarchy process and comparison method.Ancient Chinese loan words have been collectively called old loan words and modern Chinese loan words have been collectively called new loan words.Ancient Chinese loan words have been derived from archaic or ancient Chinese phonology,Chinese loan words of modern times have originated from the coastal areas of China Teochew,modern Chinese loan words have come from Mandarin.The Chinese loan words have systematic corresponding forms of initials,finals and tones except ancient Chinese loan words.The main characteristics of corresponding law are: same phonetic forms generally conform to the rule of one-to-one,different phonetic forms that consist of corresponding relationship using same phonetic system and generally conform to the rule of one-to-many.Stratification of Chinese loan words in Thai,it can present phonetic development state of Chinese loan words in Thai and provide materials for Chinese,Thai and the Kam-Tai language in general language theory including language contact and evolution etc.Integrated framework of the thesis is divided to five parts:Chapter One :introduction,explain historical and cultural background between Han and Thai,present related studying achievement of predecessors about the relationship and language contact between Thai and Chinese;Chapter Two:describe to origination of ancient Chinese loan words in Thai;Chapter Three:related phonetic system and phonetic corresponding rule of ancient Chinese loan words in Thai;Chapter Four: describe to origination and phonetic corresponding rule of modern Chinese loan words in Thai;Chapter Five: conclude and summarize the analysis result of the thesis,at the same time point out some shortcomings which need to be improve urgently.
