Investigation Report On Present Protection Of Cultural Relics Protection Unit At Above The Provincial Level In Baoji

Baoji is a region with long istory and deep culture,having nearly ten thousand years of civilization.With the civilization stepped forward day by day,rich cultural relics have been left.Baoji has a large number of cultural relics with various types,and most of the cultural relics are with high value.But the conservation status is worrying.Through the research,it is found that the conservation management of most remaining relics is very poor,which makes existed relics have been damaged.This report focuses on 101 cultural relics protection units at or above the provincial level,and gives overall understanding of conservation status of cultural relics protection units at or above the provincial level in Baoji based on the sum-up and analyses of conservation status.This report makes detailed assessment according to conservation status and protection management status on the basis of detailed research of present protection of the cultural relics protection unit at or above the provincial level in Baoji.Assessment of preservation condition is bases on the following parts separately: ancient sites,ancient architecture,ancient tombs,stone carving,and historical site and typical architecture of contemporary China.The main conclusions of the assessment are as bellows:The preservation condition of cultural relics protection units at or above the provincial level in Baoji is much better,but some are still not.The problems for ancient relics are water and soil loss,landslide,plants and animals damage,illegal remove of soil,etc.The problems of the ancient architecture are natural factors,and the lack of daily maintain and management is the main reason.The problems for ancient tombs are water and soil loss,illegal remove of soil grave damage.The problems of stone carving,grotto,and temples are mainly natural factors damage.This report analyzes the current situation of the 101 cultural relics protection units,which consists of four parts,protection,utilization,management and investigation.1.Protection.The division of most current protection area is unreasonable,and the protection signs are not perfect.The archives of the relics protection are not complete and accurate.Most of the cultural relics protection unit do not have the professional maintenance.2.Utilization.Display and utilization are in the initial stage.Only a few cultural relics protection units start on this way,and the content is simple,the methods drop behind and facilities serialized are very bad.Through analysis of assessment results,most of the relics do not have the condition to display,the potential usage is not ideal.While some ancient architecture has the advantage condition,but has fallen into a state of neglect.3.Management.The management organizations are incomplete,and lack of professional employees.Most of the management equipment drop behind and lack of management rules and regulations.Also there are some problems of the daily inspection and testing.Some of the cultural relics protection units do not have the specialized management agency,and some units are in rural areas,which is very unreasonable.4.Research work is poor.Most of the archaeology research work is not enough.Such as distribution range is not detailed,content is not clear,etc.Mapping datas are lacking in ancient architecture research.The lag of the research against the work of conservation.
