Teaching material as a basic reference in Chinese language teaching is particularly important.Especially for overseas learners,a good teaching material is better than a good teacher.Nowadays,"New Practical Chinese books"," Chinese Today " these two kinds of textbooks are popular at home and abroad since the publication of the use of constant praise.These two sets of textbooks are most widely used in Latin America,and many scholars have done a lot of research.But in terms of the usage of the Confucius Institute of the University of Havana,yet lack scholars to study it.In these being used two textbooks,the "New Practical Chinese Reader Textbook" is as the main textbook in the Confucius Institute."Today's Chinese" is just as a elective materials in Confucius Institute of the University of Havana.How exactly these two sets of textbooks are used in Confucius Institute,I consider it is necessary to conduct a comparative analysis of the two sets of textbooks,research and to find the positive side and negative side when teachers and students are using them.And to hold the root causes of the problems and give my views to provide some reference for the preparation of the local materials in Confucius Institute at the University of Havana.The introduction of the paper include the purpose and significance,senior research review,and research methods in teaching respect.The second part introduces Confucius Institute University of Havana in Cuba.The third part is the Introduction the using Chinese teaching materials in Confucius Institute at the University of Havana.The fourth part of this paper is the focus of this article,the fourth part analyzes the student feedback questionnaire,and count the students' views and opinions of the using textbooks.The fifth part is unique in this paper,through the interviews with the teachers,compare the results of students' questionnaire with the teachers' views.The sixth part is to put forward the recommendations for textbook use and modification:First,the materials should be integrated into Cuban students emotional factors,add some global vision of the elements;Second,add Cuban local elements.Compile textbooks according to Cubans' living habits,study habits and points of interest;Third,China and Cuba Chinese experts work together to compile a textbook for students in Cuba.The seventh part is the conclusion,mainly summarizes the use of two sets of textbooks in the case of the Confucius Institute at the University of Havana.
