The Study Of Zhang Chengzhi’s Poetic Novels

Zhang Chengzhi’s creation has the poetic characteristics from the first novel Why Herd-Man Sings about Mother.He puts more emphasis on expressing emotion with flexible style.He aims to making the novel a revelatory text that we can feel the world with our heart and look for the true meaning of life by reading it attentively,not a pure narrative text.He expands the performance of the novel,and changes people’s aesthetic perspectives by putting the art technique of poetry into the novel consciously.Zhang Chengzhi’s poetic novels not only embody the richness and innovation of the traditional novel’s writing skills,but also have the profoundness and richness in the ideological connotation.He abandons the ugly and decadence of the secular reality consciously,advocating the noble of idealities and faith.This paper divides into three chapters to study on Zhang Chengzhi’s poetic novels.The first chapter mainly analyzes the thought connotation of Zhang Chengzhi’s poetic novels.His works reflect the reality of tragedy,the pursuit of the ideal of life and religious color,showing the depth of his thought.The second chapter mainly analyzes the narrative art of Zhang Chengzhi’s poetic novels.Whether it is the structure of the novel art,the choice of narrative perspective or the subjective narrative strategy,these aspects are all embodies the author’s originality.The third chapter mainly discusses the linguistic representation of Zhang Chengzhi’s poetic novels.The language of his novels presents the characteristics of musicality,color and imagery.Finally,I will summarize the value and limitation of Zhang Chengzhi’s poetic novels by analyzing of the previous chapters.The poetic novels have certain significance and value in the literature,culture and aesthetics.But there are still some limitations,his novels created a reading disorder for readers’ aesthetic appreciation and understanding of the text,so the audience is not too wide.
