Linguistic And Cultural Analysis Of The Names Of Restaurants In Xi'an

As a way of expressing feelings,language has a close relationship with people's daily life,and it is an important tool for human communication.The name as a unique language phenomenon,not only reflects the symbolic language,but also can reflect the merchant named psychological and cultural content.The name as a linguistic phenomenon,semantic content by the name of the first impression will directly affect the consumer to the store.Due to the specialty of the sake will pay attention to the restaurants' name,also found that some restaurants' name is unknown,ideographic characters,rare words use phenomenon,so the author generated strong interest,and decided to cultural linguistics as a starting point,analysis of Xi'an City's Restaurants,the name of the linguistics,the study reflected behind the cultural connotation,and the names of the restaurants in the questions of the proposed standard.This paper mainly includes four parts,the first chapter,the author points out the reasons for selecting the topic,summarized the restaurants on the domestic and foreign research status,research methods and defines the study object of this article.The second chapter focuses on the vocabulary of the restaurants' name and the language features of each part.The third chapter focuses on the cultural connotations reflected by the language features of the restaurants' name.The fourth chapter describes the existing problems and normative suggestions of Xi'an's restaurant names.Some suggestions are given for the existing problems,hoping to provide reference for future restaurant naming.
