An Analysis Of Ancient Bronze Drum Sailboat Design In Southwest China

Bronze drum is national musical instruments during ancient years in southern China,which symbolizes power and status.It has exquisite design in decoration that has its own unique artistic charm,and is rich in kinds and diverse in decoration which sailboat design is the main one.Compared with abstract decoration,sailboat design is national minority social life concrete reflection in southwest of china,through visible figures.It with the historical stage and the manners has the close relationship as the different elements and drawing.From the spring and Autumn periods and Southern Dynasties,sailboat design is from representation to abstraction.With the passage of time and shifting in space,sailboat design adds many new varieties based the different craft,which is colorful fine arts legacy and has historical significance and artistic value.This paper fully analyzes sailboat design of twenty Southwest bronze drum based on fine arts,history,iconology and archaeology,including its artistic expression,historical condition,ideology of different culture and evolution track.Through understanding the cultural connotation of sailboat design according to artistic feature,this paper summarizes artistic expression of sailboat design,that promotes Chinese national traditional decorative pattern and offers some references for the further research.
