Study On The Application Of Line In Graph Design

Line is the visual perception of humans in nature.It is one of the most fundamental design elements and most important segment of composition picture as well as the initial forms of art source in graph design.Line exists in much visual art,which is the indispensable important component in graph design.With its special characteristics and rich and changeful form,line is used to design everywhere.It is the most directly and powerful tool that designers transport messages to others.Line is the important manifestation pattern of graph designs,which has the function of segmentation and defines the layout.Meanwhile,line can concludes the boundless lasting appeal and wonderful moments in a concise,clear and abstraction way.Line has the ability of excellently modeling.Also,it has outstanding performance in reflecting the image propaganda purposes and creativity.Due to the different kinds of lines,the lingering charm and personality of design works transferred by lines also differs.Different lines represent different mind and spirit in picture design.Not only does it contain ideas and thoughts of the designer,but also transfer design emotion efficiently to observers.The paper refers to the application study of line in graph design detailed introduced line theory knowledge and design criterion.The aim of the paper is to afford more enlightenment to those who are occupied in art design so that they can obtain more inspiration and creativity.At first,based on line,the definition,function and expression of line,line is concluded and introduced in detail.Then,according to the theory of picture definition,the comparison between graph and pattern,the relationship of graph and plane and graph design application,graph design and application expression are presented.Once more,by means of studying the originality and function of line in graph,the application of graph creativity,and the models of the application of visual illusion,line is proved to be texture,volume and spaciousness.Besides,being the soul of graph design,line is outstanding in creativity performance.At last,through theory and design principle,the application of line in logo design,poster design and package design is discussed.At the same time,my personal research result and design works was displayed by integrating theory with practice.With the development of society,observers' aesthetic level is continuously improving.So we have to look for new elements which can break traditional rules and bring freshness at the same time.Meanwhile,with the appearance and development of line,catering to current tendency coincidently,line is not only possesses rich aesthetic connotation and Personality traits and emotional expression but also is the foundation of art design.With applying and mastering different kinds of line,not only can inject new vitality to our design works,but also can we create more excellent works.
