The age of globalization has come.With the frequent exchange and cooperation among countries and enterprises,China's international prestige has been being improved continually.We have hosted and participated in more and more international forums.And interpretation has arisen in the process of exchange between countries.Interpretation plays an important role in the economic,political and cultural communication among countries.The speeches of national leaders represent the attitude and standpoint of a country.It needs the simultaneous interpreters well equipped for the good national image.Interpretive theory is the first and the only systematical interpretation theory.According to Interpretive theory,interpretation is an exchange activity,and it lies in the extraction and expression of content of speeches.The objective of interpretation is the meaning of speech rather than the structure of words.Therefore,Interpretive Theory shows great importance in guiding the conference simultaneous interpretation.This thesis takes the Interpretive Theory as the theoretical basis and introduces and researches its concept.Taking Premier Li's Speech at the Opening Plenary of the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2016 as the text,this thesis analyzes the common skills of conference Chinese-English simultaneous interpretation.These skills include inference forecasting,cultural adaptation,logical induction,information supplement and interpreting of idioms and quotations.The research in this thesis could help people deepen the understanding of Interpretive Theory and help guide interpreting practice thus improving the quality of interpretation.
