China's economy has entered into “new normal”.The development of China's economy is now more relying on scientific and technological progress,as well as the improvement of the quality of workers.It is the educational exchanges and cooperation between China and the international society that will play an irreplaceable role in this regard.Yunnan is one of the key geographical places for China to link up with South and Southeast Asia,and also an important gateway for China to open to the outside world,especially to South Asia and Southeast Asia.The internationalization of education is an important propeller to upgrade the level of universities.With greater emphasis to cooperate with South and Southeast Asian countries in recent years,Yunnan Normal University,together with the Sino-Australia Cross Cultural Research Center proactively held the First International Forum on Higher Education Cooperation with South and Southeast Asia,hoping to promote the exchanges and cooperation of universities in South and Southeast Asia and lift up the economic development in this region.This paper is a report based on the author's practical simultaneous interpretation in the Forum.In the first chapter records the speeches of the keynote speakers and the interpreter's simultaneous interpretation content;the second chapter introduces the task of interpreting to this Forum,including background,significance,theme,organized form,the agenda of the meeting,and interpreter requirements,etc;the third chapter introduces the whole process of the implement of interpreting task,including the background of the forum and the preparation(such as interpreters' collaboration,glossary establishment);the fourth chapter is case study and the evaluation of the interpreter,the problems existed in the process of SI,and how the interpreter coping these problems under the guidance of the interpretive theory by using simplification,reformulation and other strategies;the fifth chapter is about the summary to the whole task.
