The Public Of Shanxi Folk Brick

Shanxi has a long history,retaining a large number of different types of traditional folk art,these folk art with strong local characteristics and cultural connotations,is a unique historical and cultural material bearing Shanxi.Among them,the brick art form of folk art is one of the most representative.Shanxi carving art is mainly used in building decoration,distributed in Shanxi province region,has the characteristics of large geographical span and many genres,high artistic value and rich cultural connotation.The concept of public originated in the ancient western,in Latin,the public as a noun,with the "people" meaning,after a long development,by eighteenth Century,the public gradually with the semantic features of today.The so-called public refers to "private" relative,refers to all non private affairs.As a kind of local traditional folk art,whether Shanxi folk brick is public,the public characteristics reflected in what areas,is the theme of this paper.As a form of traditional agricultural society based on the art form,Shanxi brick art not only are widely used to decorate a private residence,has also been widely used in the ancestral halls,temples,monasteries and other public building decoration.So,these brick must have the corresponding public characteristics.This paper will focus on locking in this part of the brick,according to the analysis of other language research,art theme induction and cultural background,trying to clarify the public characteristics of Shanxi folk brick.
