Metaphor in the field of traditional cognitive linguistics is considered to be a metaphorical phenomenon that relies only on linguistic patterns.It was not until the 1980s that the formal publication of the two books,"the metaphor of our survival," and "women,fire,and dangerous things," made the conceptual metaphor theory final.Later,F-orceville and other scholars will be multi-modal as a research object into the concept of metaphor theory.In simple terms,multimodal metaphor is the metaphor expressed by different modes in the source and target domains,and its research objects focus on music,advertising,film,political comics and so on.At present,few scholars on the statues,car signs,school badges,posters and other fields to study.The socialist core values of the posters are mainly the use of images and words,and these different symbols to combine,to explore the implied meaning behind it.In the field of cognitive linguistics,there are many shortcomings in the study of pure language metaphor.As the development of information technology,communication means become increasingly rich,a variety of multi-modal communication more and more popular people,such as voice,images,text and so on.In this context,the multidimensional metaphor of academic research is also increasingly rich.Through the analysis of the current research,the author finds that the functional linguistics system at home and abroad mainly studies the social semiotics of multimodal discourse,and its research object has some limitations.Therefore,the synthesis of the current research results can make us more understanding of the status quo of multi-modal metaphor,but the multimodal metaphor of the overall meaning of the dynamic construction process,the need for further increase and supplement.The two modes used in the metaphor of the socialist core values are image and text.Therefore,the purpose of this study is to construct the theory model of multimodal metaphor from the perspective of multimodal metaphor theory and conceptual metaphor and conceptual metonymy to analyze metaphor through some typical metaphor And the relationship between metonymy,and ultimately for the multi-modal metaphor research to explore a broader space.
