Nation-Building,Identity and Citizenship Education :Cross-Cultural Perspectives is published by Springer Publishing House.This is a book of humanities and social science,which is coauthored by Joseph Zajda,Holger Daun and Lawrence J.Saha.Through the translation of this book,it can be understood that in education and society,the three main aspects that affect national identity,nation-building,and civic education are ideology,democracy and human rights.This book is entirely useful for a more comprehensive understanding of the relationship between nation-state and national identity.This book is rigorous and academic,and it is likely to have a far-reaching and broad impact on future educational policies and global reforms.The author's translation practice report mainly consists of five parts:the first part is the description of the translation task,which mainly introduces the background knowledge of the translation task and the theoretical and practical significance of the translation task.The second part is the description of the process of the task which mainly introduces how the author prepares for the translation practice and plans to write the translation practice report.The third part is the framework of translation theory,which mainly introduces the translation theory used by the author in the process of translation and how the author use the corresponding translation methods to solve the problems in the translation under the guidance of the translation theory.The fourth part is the analysis of translational cases,which mainly lists translational cases that the author meets with,and shows how to use the applicable translation methods to analyze and solve them.The fifth part is the summary,which briefly reflects on the author's experiences with the translation and the lessons.In this translation practice report,the author mainly employes the strategies of communicative translation and semantic translation to translate the text of humanities and social sciences,meanwhile adopts the corresponding translation methods for different cases and summarizes them.This could be very helpful for the author to translate the same texts in the future.
