Graphic reasoning is a kind of analogical reasoning,research on the reasoning ability of individuals by using graph as material which is different from word material,therefore,the internal processing of two kinds of reasoning materials will be very different.It can reflect the characteristics of the development of thinking to find out the regular patterns of graphic change from a series of basic geometric figures and understanding distinctly of the process of reasoning.Previous studies showed that the two national students are consistent in process of graphic reasoning ability development,but significant difference in development level.This study attempts to explore the similarities and differences between the han nationality and Uighur nationality high school students in the process of the development of the graphic reasoning ability in the context of Xinjiang.92 high school students were selected as subjects,In order to exclude the influence of education level on two group subjects,the study using Raven standard reasoning test as research materials to compare the graphic reasoning ability between han nationality and Uighur nationality high school students.The study using eye movement instrument to tracking the eye movement index in order to make a more intuitive discussion on the present situation and development characteristics of the graphic reasoning ability of two group subjects.The results are consistent with the previous studies.This study suggested that each groups have different development advantages.To be concrete,the main result were as follow:1.The graphic reasoning ability of senior high school students is sustainable development.the results showed that there was a significant age diversity in the results of graphic reasoning,and the scores of senior students were significantly higher than those of the lower grades.2.The development trend of the two national high school students' graphic reasoning is consistent,the overall performance with the increase of age,the correct rate of solving reasoning problems is on the rise.3.There are differences in the three types(the gestalt,quantitative pairwise progression and figure addition or subtraction)of reasoning ability between han nationality and Uighur nationality in grade 1 of senior school students.The eye movement indicators in the interest area showed that two group subjects tend to use different reasoning strategies.4.There is differences in the figure addition or subtraction types of reasoning abilitybetween han nationality and Uighur nationality in grade 2 of senior school students.And there is no different in five types of reasoning ability between han nationality and Uighur nationality in grade 3 of senior school students.The results show that the development of the reasoning ability between the Han nationality and Uygur nationality high school students in the later stage of high school is trend to be consistent.
