The Study Between The Nan Tong Scholars In The Late Qing Dynasty And Chinese Education In Indonesia

The rise and development of the new style education in the late Qing Dynasty,which is promoting the reform of educational system.The abolition of the imperial examination system in 1905 affected the traditional way of the scholars.The scholars have to find new way.In the late Qing dynasty scholar Zhang Jian set modern education in Nantong,so that Nantong has become a modern education rural.As the same time Nanyang employ Chinese school teachers from domestic,Nantong has become one of the important areas for the introduction of Chinese teachers.With Li Chunming as the representative of the Nantong scholars in this era and opportunities,to engage in Nanyang Chinese education.This paper consists of introduction,body and conclusion of three parts.After the abolition of the imperial examination system,the social and historical background of the existence of scholars in Nantong,the main part state three points: Firstly,the way of Nantong scholars after the abolishment of imperial examination system,especially the influence of Zhang Jian's educational practice in Nantong on the development of modernization,which provides background and historical opportunities for them.Secondly,the article summarize the rise and development of modern Chinese education in Indonesia.Nantong scholars serve as a teacher or founder of the Chinese school in the modern Chinese education in Indonesia,that has played a positive role.Thirdly,by means of the case study of Jakarta Chinese high school,we can see the promotion and development of Jakarta Chinese high school,the cultivation of students and the role of progressive education in the help of Nantong scholars.In particular,Li Chunming's idea of running a school,the progress of patriotic education and the cultivation of the spirit of the central China,contributed to the inheritance of Chinese culture.Nantong scholars engage in Chinese education in Nanyang,is the unique humanities environment,is also affected by special historical opportunity.Through the experience of overseas Chinese education of Nantong scholars,we can affirm their role in modern Chinese education in Indonesia,and provide reference for the inheritance of Chinese culture...
