Study On The Sentences Containing �(?)/?� In Oracle-bone Inscriptions

�(?)/?�(You)is a typical set of polysemic characters in oracle-bone inscriptions,which have a characteristics of high frenqency,multiple meaning and complex connetions.In terms of its usage,six parts of speech have been suggested in the academic filed,including verb,conjunction,pronoun,adverb,prefix and noun oflocality.Sacrificial verb �?�existential verb �?�and the blessing verb �?�are also included in the verbs.Therefore,the usages of �(?)/?� add up to be 8 kinds.Of course,some usages of�(?)/?�are still needed to be further discussed.In terms of their relationship,�(?)�is gradually replaced by �?� from the historical point of view.Judging from the differences in writing styles of bone characters in different groups,we can draw the conclusions that �(?)�is mainly used in Shi-group,Bin-group and Chu-group which were found in the north of Xiaotun Village,but �?� is used in Li-group and Wu ming-group which were found in the south of Xiaotun Village.The usage and font of �(?)/?�in oracle-bone inscriptions will be mainly discussed in this thesis.There are five parts in this paper:In chapter?,it chiefly review the research results of predecessors on �(?)/?�and figure out the reason for studying its usage of conjunction,pronoun and existential verb.Chapter? chiefly focuses on the classified arrangement about the quantitative structure containing the conjunction �?�.In addition,the differences and similarities between�?+?�and�?+?�will be discussed in this section.In chapter?,we can affirm that �?� can be used as pronoun,and its reference objects will be further explored.Chapter ? mainly studies its use of existential verbs.The objects of existential verbs �?� are classified into 6 kinds,including nouns,adjectives,verbs,verbobjectphrases,fixed phrases and phrases,according to their parts of speech.And it also can be divided into various kinds from categories to meaning.We collect a large number of opinions on�?+X�to get a reasonable explanation.Based on the analysis of the first four chapters,Chapter ?studies the usage and font of �(?)/?� in different groups and shows them in tabular forms.In this section,we also summarize the special writing forms of �(?)/?� in different groups.Thereby it finally provides us with some references,when we make classifying and dividing the history into different periods.
