A Multi-dimensional Investigation Of Disyllabic Verb Groups With The Meaning Of "thinking" Based On The Category View

The disyllabic verbs about "Xiang(?)" as typical high frequency psychological verb,had shown the diversity of "splendid" in the language evolution.This thesis takes the "category view" theory and the "system theory" methodology as the unified method,and takes the "Xiang(?)" two-syllable verbs as the research object.In the diachronic and synchronic dimensions,combined with the dynamic theory of categories,prototype theory,and comprehensively using semantic grammar,cognitive linguistics,functional linguistics and other genre theories,to examine their lexical and syntactic functional characteristics,to carry out the representation description and interpretation.This thesis is divided into five parts:Introduction:Here is a brief overview of the significance of the topic,the research status of the relevant writing objects,and the research methods and tasks.At the same time,it also defines the specific connotation of this article for the controversial terms such as "category","word group" and "psychological verb".Chapter One:From an internal category perspective,the thesis classifies and defines the word groups of "Xiang(?)" two-syllable verbs.Then,from the vertical dimension,we explain the category-hierarchy relationship between monosyllabic word "Xiang(?)" and the word groups of "Xiang(?)" two-syllable verbs.From the horizontal dimension,according to the "prototype category" theory,we construct a "verb-adjective continuum" about the word groups of "Xiang(?)" two-syllable verbs.The study of internal category is presented in the stereoscopic dimension.Chapter Two:From the external category perspective,based on the theoretical principle of "two-way choice",the three categories of meaning groups such as "degree category","time category" and "modality category" are selected to study the grammatical expression and adaptability between them and the subject of the article.At the same time,combining the theories of psychology and pragmatics,we can observe the communicative meaning.In addition,The author expand the study horizon from morphology to syntax.The form of categorization of sentence semantics is "sentence framework".At this time,on the basis of each type of sentence framework,we will examine the structure type and relationship of the "Xiang(?)" class of two-syllable verbs as the dynamic nucleus.And the semantic components of "experience" and "involvement" are classified and discussed,so that the semantic syntax is planarized,which helpsthe transformation of communication.Chapter Three:The decategorization is an important part when the category is placed in the micro-dynamic continuum.On this basis,the two-syllable verbs containing "Xiang(?)" are selected to study their vivid performance from decategorization in the process of cross-layer lexicalization.Meanwhile,summarizing and observing the generalities in order to promote the study of lexicalization of word group.At the end,we review the main research contents of the article,clarify the important conclusions and innovative insights,and also point out some areas for polish.In addition,inspired by the research of the thesis,this part points out some possible study directions of the function words and polysyllabic words about "X-Xiang(?)" and "Xiang(?)-X".
