Since the 1980 s,with the constant deepening of theoretical research of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language(TCSL),people gradually changed the old train of thought,use the theoretical achievements from Pedagogy,Language Acquisition Theory,Cultures and Intercultural Communication Science or other related Subjects,and put forward clearly that "combination of structure,function,culture" as an important principle of TCSL,thus begun the cultural studies of TCSL.The study of culture teaching materials is as important as the study of culture teaching,according to its content,culture teaching materials can be divided into two different kinds: "Chinese Culture" and "General Introduction of China".This paper selects three representative culture textbooks--China: Country Profile(Hongshun Wang),China Panorama(Peng Guo,Xiliang Jiang,Long Chen),China's General Tutorial(Li Xiao),through systematically comparative analysis of three materials,we hope the conclusions can provide references for teachers and students when they select teaching materials,what's more,we would like to present ideas about new train of thoughts,new directions of writing Chinese culture materials.This paper is divided into four chapters:Chapter 1 is the introduction,including research background,significance,research status,research methods and results of previous studies,to provide theoretical support for the following analysis,and to be a steppingstone to follow analysis.In Chapter 2,the paper makes a detailed analysis of the three teaching materials,and analyzes the similarities and differences from the following aspects: the writing style,the content of the teaching materials and the practice design in the three materials.Chapter 3 summarizes the success of the compilation of the three materials based on the comparative analysis above,points out the deficiencies in the preparation,and putsforward the corresponding proposals for the inadequacies.Chapter 4 is a conclusion,the paper makes a summary of the full paper,and emphasizes the importance of the study on the Chinese culture teaching as well as Chinese culture materials.
