China Panorama, which aimed at introducing China comprehensively to foreign students and developing their intercultural communication ability, is an important required course. But according to some study about the textbooks of China Panorama, there are a lot of problems about the current textbooks. The teachers and students are not satisfied with the textbooks.An Introduction to China(Xiao Li) is a widely used textbook of China Panorama and China Panorama(Zhang Shitao) is a new textbook, which is still in preparation. The article takes the topic of the Education of China of these two textbooks as examples. The contents, words, exercises, illustrations, annotations, awareness of intercultural communication, language teaching in culture teaching are comparative analyzed. At the same time, taking the foreign students who took the China Panorama lessons in Sun Yat-sen University in the summer semester of 2014 as the objects, the article does a research to know their attitudes toward the two textbooks.By comparative study and questionnaire survey, the article finds there are a lot of differences between the two textbooks. The students’ attitudes toward the two textbooks are also different. The article attempts to summarize the advantages and disadvantages of the two textbooks and make some suggestions for the textbooks of China Panorama.
