In recent years,the proportion of Chinese families speaking English in Singapore has been increasing,and the situation of Chinese education is difficult.With the development of the international situation,China's international status has improved.Singapore Chinese students and parents also has a new demand for Chinese teaching.In 2010,the Ministry of Education set up a mother tongue review committee to make a fundamental guide to the curriculum,teaching objectives and teaching materials of Singapore Chinese teaching,and to promote the continuous development of Chinese teaching.Under the guidance of the new textbook design theory,"Happy Partner" primary school textbooks were first released in 2015.This paper focuses on the new situation and new problems of Chinese education in Singapore,which is based on two reports of the Ministry of Education.There are three main points: make no social distinctions in teaching,focusing on listening and speaking,learning joyously and using proficiently.As Primary School Chinese and Happy Partner first grade are examples,this paper see these three design theories mainly from the plate design and teaching content changes.Happy Partner first grade textbook break through part division as the language level,which reflects making no social distinctions in teaching.Independence of the training of speaking and listening reflects the design theory which focus on listening and speaking.A new part life using reflects learning joyously and using proficiently.Teaching content is divided into text,pinyin,Chinese characters.The content is closed to the real life,the arrangement is scientific and regular,reduce the difficulty of learning,establish learning self-confidence,fully embodies the use of music theory.Through the research and analysis,the Happy Partner first grade textbook clearly and accurately embodies the design theory of learning joyously and using proficiently.The use of these three design theories conforms to the needs of Singapore primary education in the new era,which has positive significance.But at the same time,this paper also finds that when the new design theories in the implementation of the textbook,there are still some problems.They still need further improvements.
