Study On Tujia Waving Dance In Northeast Guizhou From The Perspective Of Cultural Change

It is urgent to make Tujia Waving Dance develop better in the context of cultural diversity,economic globalization and social information.Based on the literature,field surveys,interviews,logic analysis and other research methods,this study analyzed Tujia Waving Dance ‘s change of material culture,system culture and spiritual culture from history and regions respectively,and explored the causes and development path of this change in Northeast Guizhou.The conclusions are as follows:1.The Northeast Guizhou Tujia Waving Dance development course was divided into six stages.The first stage: spontaneous period(Jimi period-before tujia clan into the han officials),which mainly refers to the origin and initial development of Waving Dance.The second stage : prohibition period(After tujia clan into the han officials-before the founding of new Chinese),during which the Qing government adopted various harsh means to limit Waving Dance activities and forced it to stop.The third stage :recovery period(1950--1966): In this stage,emancipated Tujia people can freely carry out Waving Dance activities after the founding of new China.The fourth stage: tortuous development period(1966-1976).Because the Cultural Revolution "ten years of turmoil" poisoned the correct principles and policies of the Tujia Waving Dance,the dance faced a disaster,which ruined the clothes of Tujia Waving Dance.The fifth stage: Restoring development period(1976--2000).Under the party's correct guidelines and policies,industry,agriculture,culture,education and health undertakings were restored and developed rapidly in Tongren.At the same time,there was transportation connection between urban and rural areas.With the improvement of people's living standard and spiritual life,there was more room for the development of Waving Dance.The sixth stage :rapid development period(2000--now).Waving Dance of this period evolved from the original hand Waving Dance into modern dance as a result of people's higher requirements for quality of life andhealth.2.With the acceleration of the process of modernization,the life of Tujia nationality in northeast Guizhou has changed,meanwhile,the development of Waving Dance has also changed in the region,which mainly embodies in the spiritual culture,material culture,behavior culture and the change of system.At he spirit level,the functions of Waving Dance,such as ritual,entertainment God and worship etc,are disappearing while Waving Dance absorbs modern elements.However,sports values is impacted and distorted by the economic benefits and values.At the system level,the form and content of Waving Dance in various regions have their own characteristics and differences.For one thing,Waving Dance interweaves and co-exists other folk activities and festival activities;for another,the actions of Waving Dance have similarities and differences in addition to the similar composition of its members in each area.At the material and cultural level,for Waving Dance,there is a low requirement in venue,different unique music in different regions,and a different clothing props selection decided by the nature of the activities.3.There are following reasons for the cultural change of Waving Dance : change of Tujia residents' living environment,impact of change of times on Tujia Waving Dance in northeast Guizhou,needs of Waving Dance self-development,and the influence of the social organization on Waving Dance..4.This paper provides some sustainable developmental ways of thinking in terms of Tujia Waving Dance in northeast Guizhou.Firstly,because the development of Waving Dance and Tujia people's livelihood coexist,we should correctly handle the livelihood of Tujia people so that the Waving Dance.of Tujia culture will develop better.Secondly,reconstruction of cultural awareness should change from the culture of "spontaneous" to "cultural consciousness".Although a small part of Tujia people spontaneously inherited the Waving Dance.culture,they did not achieve cultural consciousness.Thirdly,the joint effort of nongovernmental organizations and governmental organizations for the development of Waving Dance.Folk organizations,a powerful group for the development of Waving Dance,should work with government organizations for the better development of the Waving Dance.Finally,keeping abreast of the times.In order to create a new way of Waving Dance,we can combine the traditional and modern advantages based on thepremise of without distortion.
