Exploration Of The Bronze Drum Musical Culture Among Shui Nationality Of Guizhou

Bronze drum is a Chinese national musical instrument that is filled with national culture spirituality and reflects the life of minorities.Bronze drum firstly appeared in Shang Dynasty and had formed a rich,colorful literature which possesses features of particular minorities after two thousand years of development.Researches show that Guizhou province,especially Qiannan region,is one of the areas where bronze drum is mainly used area since ancient times.The profound and permanent bronze drum culture owned by Shui nationality results in the integration between them and the bronze drum culture.Bronze drum primitively existed as a kind of kettle which was used for cuisines,and then developed into a tool that commands army during the war and ultimately used for religious sacrifice.Therefore,it soon occupied a high status in the daily life of Shui nationality as a treasure and artifact among them.With the ceaseless development of society,bronze drum gradually develops into a musical instrument which is primarily used for musical performance as a percussion instrument.Nevertheless,previous studies of bronze drum are mainly conducted from the aspects of its origin,geographic sphere,how its shape & structure developed over time,how it is applied and its necessary forms and methods,as well as the ethnic emotions contained in the ways of expressions and methods,but there are few complete research monographs about bronze drum,and the majority of studies of music tend have a brief description out of the study of ethnic culture.Therefore,taking Duyun Yanghe Village of Shui nationality as an example for the exploration of bronze drum culture from a musical angle will exert significant effects on reflecting the effects of bronze drum and ethnic spirit connotation completely,as well as the promotion of the inheritance and development ethnic musical culture.This paper is divided into five parts for the exploration the bronze drum music in Duyun Yanghe Village.The first part is the introduction where the research status of bronze drum culture in China at present is introduced through literature research,and field investigations in Duyun and Sandu centering Duyun Yanghe Village with the use of survey study and field research.The second part is the introduction of environment of Yanghe Village where the ethnic cultural connotation contained in the customs and ecological culture of Yanghe Village as well as how ethnic development gives the original source to the bronze drum music culture.The third part is the description of the bronze drum among Shui nationality who live in Yanghe Village,this part primarily describes the bronze drum used in Yanghe Village from two different aspects??the birth of bronze drum and the bronze drum culture.Meanwhile,this part also introduces the foundry technology and adornment feature of bronze drum systematically.The fourth part is the music analysis of bronze drum in Yanghe Village.The analysis is mainly conducted from the performance way,location as well as content together with musical forms,and combining with the present application of drum spectrum of bronze drum music in Yanghe country.The last part is the aesthetic significance and future development of bronze drum music among Shui nationality who live in Yanghe Village.The aesthetic significance of bronze drum music culture in Yanghe Village expresses a delighted aesthetic sense of social native and ecological life.The music culture of it expresses the ethnic original ecology and permanent aesthetic delight.It is a music genre that comes from the ecological life of Shui nationality.It is concrete expression that the Shui nationality integrates with ecology and life.It is a pervasive opinion about nature and social relationship from Shui nationality and the future will develop well when the modern life integrates with music.Through the research above,the inheritance and development of the bronze drum among Shui nationality can be provided with practical and theory support,enriching and flourishing Chinese ethnic music culture.
