Boarding schools take on the dual responsibility of the students' life and learning,integrating school education,family upbringing and the social education functions into an organic whole,so the school have the duty to make students get good grades,also the duty to ensure their mental health.This research adopts the social support scale,self-concept scale and middle school adjustment scale to 506 boarding junior middle school students as the research object,investigation and analysis of their social support,self-concept and school adaptation,and discusses the relations between and among.According to our research,we get the following conclusion:(1)Boarding junior middle school students' self-concept have significant differences in gender and grade.The boys' self-concept level is higher than girls;And a significant difference can be seen in grades,from high to low in turn for ninth grade,grade seven and grade eight.Their school adaptation level of different gender have significant differences in conventional adaptive dimensions,girls' scores are significantly higher than boys;Difference in boarding middle school students' adaptation was not significant in grade,but have significant differences in the attitude towards school and friend relationship dimensions.(2)Boarding junior middle school students between social support and school adaptation of the extremely significant positive correlation,and the level of social support could significantly predict boarding and middle schools: high level of social support boarding junior middle school students,school adaptation level is high.(3)Boarding junior middle school students' social support and self-concept have extremely significant positive correlation.Their social support could significantly predict the level of their self-concept.(4)Self-concept in boarding junior middle school students' affect the process of social support and school adaptation as an intermediary variable,and the students' social support level not only directly affect the level of the school adjustment,and also will affect school adjustment through self concept.
