A Translation Report On Exercise Psyhcology

This thesis is a translation report of the ninth chapter in the book Exercise Psychology.The name of that chapter is Energy and Fatigue.The text is about one of the branches of psychology,exercise psychology,and it introduces the exercise phenomenon “energy” and“fatigue”.The report has analyzed the psychology terms,the translation methods of charts and the difficulties met during the progress of translation in detail.And I hope to find the skills in the translation of this kind of text through combining the theories and translation practice.At the same time,it can provide experiences and lessons for the next translation activity.This report has been divided into five chapters: the first chapter is called task description,mainly talking about the writing purpose,content and structure and the meaning of the text.The second chapter is about the details of the preparation before interpretation,including the collection of project material and the information of the author,and the schedule of the translation,and the management of the glossary.In addition,I will think about the difficulties and solutions that may encounter during the translation progress.The third part is the procedure description and it is an overall introduction of the translation activity.The fourth chapter,cases analysis,is the most important part of the whole report.Firstly,it is a detailed description and analysis of the typical cases in the translation.Secondly,it is a presentation of the solution met in the translation progress.Finally,it is a summary according to the mistakes in the translation activity and it is helpful for us to avoid the mistakes next time.The last chapter is a comprehensive conclusion of the translation practice.We need to adopt the good points and avoid the shortcomings,and make full use of this translation practice to let my translation levels increased.
